why do you wnat to upset them? i'd jsut go along with it all ,except that any time anyone asks what you are doign say you are "helping" them celebrate christmas, not celebrating it yourself. and if they ask why, THEN tell them what you think
Oh, I don't actually want to upset them, and won't be doing any of these things. I just entertain the thoughts of doing so for shock value. I don't bring up my viewpoints or make a fuss about it, I simply quietly don't join in on the religious parts of the holiday.
Phew. I had some rough patches with my parents for a while, after I had realized the value of Full Disclosure Honesty, but before I had realized that there really *were* things they would be happier not knowing about my life.
