Oh dear me.
27 August 2001 04:04It's 4am. I really really should be in bed. However, I've been up this long, and it doesn't look like I'm close yet to going to bed, since Livejournal started working...
After my last post yesterday, Karen and I did lots and lots of E&M homework and got all but one problem done... and the homework isn't due until Wednesday! Isn't that amazing??
Today, we did a great thing. We being me, Karen, Brendan, Brian, and Waylon. And my mom. We hauled lots of stuff! Basically what happened is Karen's car and my car drove up to Edmond (with a stop at the U-Haul center near Crossroads mall to pick up a furniture dolly; the one here in Norman didn't have one) and met my mom with her truck and horse trailer. Then all 3 of us drove to Tulsa and dropped of Karen's car in the church parking lot for her mom to use. Then we all drove to Brian's friend's house in Owasso to get a couch and put it in the trailer. After that, the group split up and Karen and Brendan and I went to Karen's mom's house to just be sociable while Brian, Waylon, and my mom went to Brian's house to get his drumset. We all met up again, and drove to Bartlesville where my grandparents fed us and we huffed and puffed and the boys were buff and we loaded my piano into the horse trailer too! Then there was a long long drive back to Norman... The piano was unloaded (I don't really have the words to describe how difficult all of this was, the piano is disgustingly heavy and there are a lot of steps) and is now inside my apartment where I can play it! Then the couch and Brian's drumset were unloaded into his and Waylon's apartment, and goldbug's drums were put in the trailer and taken to the Hotel to be unloaded. Then I gave my super mom a big big hug and she went home.
After setting up the drums, Brendan and Karen and I went to Lyle's barbeque, which was mostly over. We hung out, Brendan and Logan played Go while I attempted to learn, and then Brendan and I went to the RAINN concert to see a big of Therogy before going home again.
As well as the piano, my mom's truck brought home my computer, which is why you're getting to read this. ;) As I'm sure you can imagine, I've been up all night re-setting things up... and finally Livejournal connected again and I got all caught up! Yay!
So... I have new pictures put up... But there's a catch if you want to see the picture I've taken of what I look like now, 15 pounds down. Look to see. Muah.
Well, I have to leave at 6:30am to return the furniture dolly to the U-Haul store up in the city by 7, when they open (I have to return it today before the time I rented it yesterday so that I don't get charged for two days). It's almost 4:30. Is 2 hours of sleep worth it?

on 28 Aug 2001 00:07 (UTC)I admire your determination and preparedness in the weight-loss department! a chart on your bathroom wall casts into the shade any half-hearted attempts I ever made. My most conciencious diet involed not eating anything that had no nutritional value for two months. And I don't think I've ever made a truly determined effort to exercise.. sad really!
