I have never before had this feeling. I take deep breaths, but it's like there's a filter over my larynx. The air comes through, mostly, and there's a raspy sound when I do it.

I'm considering the drink-the-cold-away method. [livejournal.com profile] karlean7 is going to come over and we'll watch Angel season 1 while I get trashed. If this doesn't work, I'm going to be very upset!!!

If anything, you won't care that you're sick after a while.

Yeah, or she could just drink enough to vomit repeatedly, and be a different kind of sick for a while.

um, go see a doctor?

I'm not generally the type to go to the doctor unless there is a major reason... mostly because I have no money and no medical insurance. This is just a cold, it's unpleasant but nothing horrible, and it'll pass in a few days (or hopefully, a day).

I've heard of this, I'm actually going to try it tonight as well, but without any Angel watching.
However, i heard that it works at the beginning of the sickness, b/c the alcohol forces your body temp up, which kills the germs before they can get a real foothold.
Of course this could just be the drunken ravings of crazy musicians... (everything i hear is beginning to sound like that)

I'm only 3 on a 1-10 drunkenness scale so far, and I do feel better than I have... so maybe there's something to it!

you could try taking a bronchodilator like bronkaid and see if that helps your breathing. bronchial congestion doesn't seem entirely unlikely.

Er, where would I find such a thing? The idea is completely foreign.

if my impending drunkenness doesn't clear up my cold, I'll check it out tomorrow (since I will want to buy medicine anyway)
