None of my comics are loading.

It's fairly sunny outside. Maybe I should go lie out in the sun. I have books now, thanks to Mike.

Jim is gone for the day. Nifty SCA event I wanted to go to. Too bad I'm afraid I'll overstress my almost-healed back by walking and sitting all day.

This would be a perfect day to watch Angel season 2, except it never arrived. UPS says it was delivered, but neither Jim, the upstairs neighbor, the downstairs neighbor, or I have seen any indication of it. BAH.

Today is a bad mood today. I'm not angry or sad, I'm just... unwilling to deal with anything that requires more thought than making lunch.

UPS, bah. The company we ordered my monitor from when Nick built me a computer tried shipping it UPS (after I told them I can only get USPS mail over here), and UPS magically delivered it to me -- in New Jersey. At least that's what the website said, and what the UPS people claimed, too, when called. I'd like to see, on a map, the part of New Jersey with the ZIP code 96349.
It took weeks before they heard back from UPS about where the fuck the monitor actually went, and in the meantime they just shipped me another one.

I've had the UPS says delivered thing happen to me, too. Why I never ever ship to my apartment anymore; only to the office which is staffed 24/7.

If you want to open a claim, be certain to have all your information and have to call back no less than 3 times in 6 days just to make certain a ticket was opened. Then, they give themselves 2 weeks to track the package. That took me another 3 calls to make certain it happened. *Then* I called 5 days later to see what happened....and called again another 2 days later before they actually *mailed* me a claim form!!! Gah!!

At that point (about a month and a half later) I just called CDNOW and told them they needed to talk to UPS since they were the shipper. They did that & even over-nighted a replacement to me.

Morals of the story:
1. Use FedEx
2. Contact the shipper & have them open a claim, too.

Oh yeah, the claim form actually showed up about a week after CDNOW sent me the replacement. I was *really* ticked off.
