For some reason, one event comes to mind every now and then as completely summing up my difficulties with Jason.

I got my tongue pierced a month before going out there last summer, and didn't tell him. I wanted it to be a surprise. I arrived, gave him a big tonguey kiss, and he didn't notice.

Why that speaks volumes to me... I don't know.

I rarely notice MB's. Maybe it's a guy thing.

The first time I kissed someone with a barbell I NOTICED. So I dunno...

It's one thing to be used to MB's and another to not notice when someone has one for the first time, I think.

That is true. I am used to it. She's had it for over two years now.

I don't know, dear. I mean, not that this is happening in this case, but it seems that one can point to a gazillion things wrong with another person when they want to. They're all easy to spot. Heck, the "other half" is never going to be 100% attentitve about the same kind of things of this kind or that--and might be monumentally clueless about 'em. *grin*

Heck, he could've been too distracted too. The funnier thing, I've found, is that (often simultaneously) the reverse is true. So while I'm thinking, "she didn't say anything about the fact that I filled her gas tank for her and cleaned up around the house", she's thinking, "he didn't notice that I changed my hair and dressed in this new outfit." Which, I might add, is an exact situation that happened with Peggy and I. Anyway when other things are at issue, one can focus in on all those little things more, and let them become 'the problem'.

Anyway, seems to me that the success of a relationship depends upon communication. If something bothers you, talk about it. If you like something, talk about it. Enjoy each other, emotionally, physically, spiritually. Stuff ain't gonna go right 100% of the time anyway.

So ends the lesson. *giggle* Sheesh, I sure read like I'm preaching there. Sorry.
