juldeaToday I began work at Papa John's at noon. I was scheduled to open (10:30), but that's only because the manager was dumb and didn't realize that school still happens on Monday and Tuesday this week. There was one other driver, Josh, scheduled to work with me until 5... and then his roommate called with some kind of problem and needed her kid watched over. So until 5pm, I delivered all of the store's pizzas on my own. Until 4, that was okay. Around 4 the dinner rush slowly started, but a slow start is enough to confound one driver. At 3:30 I took a three-house run that took me from the southwest side of Norman to the southeast, and when I returned to the store there was a pizza waiting to be delivered that had been sitting there for 40 minutes. ERGH! I suppose it was ordered right after I left. It got there at about 50 minutes after being ordered, which is LATE, but I still got a tip. WOO!
After that boring stuff, and amusing story. Background: The University Commons apartment complex is made up of 21 buildings, each labeled with a letter from A-U. More background: When leaving the store with orders, I get a little slip of paper that gives me information about the orders, address etc. Funny story: I was in someone's driveway, having delivered one of three pizzas, and reached for my slip to see where I was going next. Talking out loud to myself, I said (while I reached for and then read the slip), "I'm going to... P!" Then I realized what I said, and laughed a lot.
Oh well, maybe it wasn't funny to you, but it was to me. :)
I also found a new pizza to like. This is what the box says:

Thin crust bacon (K) and banana peppers (Z - stands for "zesty pepper!") with no cheese. Trust me, it's good. :9 <- that's me licking my lips
I am procrastinating. I should quit, and do something that at least pretends to be productive, like balancing my budget.
In the What Kind of Fruit Are You? quiz, I got the result, "You are a Pomegranate...unconventional, unique, and just a little bit tart...you know how to make a lasting impression and often do so with your zest for life..."
I like pomegranates a LOT.
