note to those who have to use a computer lab that's not in Nielson Hall, is incredibly packed, and has both Macs and PCs (I'm in physical science right now):

USE THE MACS.

There is a line for PC openings, but several Macs open. And they're nice Macs.

How come I ate a fairly nice breakfast not 2 hours ago, and yet my stomach is rumbling as if it hasn't eaten in days??

not all the campus macs are nice, but the ones at PHSC certainly are. they're multiple times faster than the old dell dinosaurs in the same room. the only problem is this: they don't network as well as the PCs do, and often have weird network issues. half the time they won't let me log on.

when they do, though, I am happy.

Besides what if you have to use a PC? I'm a whiz at a Windows machine but I'd be just a newbie on a Mac. You'd get more questions from me.
