So I go in to Planned Parenthood today for my Depo shot. I had to sit in the waiting room for almost an hour, and then I go in to talk to a nurse. We discuss things (the chart she had said that the Depo covered me up through July 5th - exactly what my info was) and she says since I had unprotected sex on the 7th we have to run a pregnancy test first.

So I go pee in the cup and wait 5 minutes, and then she comes back and says that the policy is actually that I have to abstain for two weeks, THEN come back and take the pregnancy test, and then get the Depo if it's negative. Apparently the effects of Depo on foetuses are bad/unknown.

I asked her to clarify, and yes I have to ABSTAIN abstain. No sex at all, not even with condoms. Sniffle :( That means the two weeks has to start with yesterday, since, well...

So now I don't know anything except that I have two weeks coming up where I can't have sex, and I might start to ovulate. Sucky, huh?

So July 29th is now the happy day. Er, I hope it's happy.

The only good thing that came out of the whole affair is they didn't charge me anything for coming in, since they couldn't do anything for me. I just lost a few hours, but that's alright.

Here's to the next two weeks...
