Waylon

Tonight, while driving home from Jason's house, I thought about Waylon and missed him a lot.

Waylon, if you're reading this - this whole post is about you. Be ready. ;)

I think I got thinking about him because I felt the urge to do something creative, like make a collage. That had me remembering the collage that Karen and goldbug made for Waylon. It struck me that people just really like Waylon. You can't passively like Waylon, or like him a little bit. He's just one of your favorite people, and that's that. You do what you can to make Waylon happy, because it's just such a great thing to do.

So what is it about Waylon? What does he have that some other people don't? In my knowledge of him, I think it's that Waylon enjoys things in a manner that most people don't. Waylon doesn't just smile and say, "That's nice," or quietly chuckle. When he laughs, it's real, it's full and he means it. When he's impressed, you can see it not only in his face but in... everything. In the past, I've been cheered up just watching Waylon enjoy something.

The word I've been avoiding using until now is passion. Waylon is a passionate person, and it's so amazing to watch. And because it's so enthralling, we want to provide Waylon something to be passionate about, like a collage or a piece of music.

I hope that my presence in peoples' lives, not just Waylon's, has given them something to enjoy and things to be passionate about.
