Book thrall is really funny. I can say this, being in the midst of it right now.

Although I fell asleep reading this book (and it was tough to convince myself to stop reading and to put it down), I awoke not thinking about it. I got online and began to chat with Rachel. As the obvious fact that Rachel has a baby wormed into the short-term memory corners of my mind, I thought about how the main character in my book has a baby that was stolen. I remember reading last night about how the mother of the baby went psycho, and then it was revealed that her mind was being controlled by the "bad guy" (actually a girl). Anyway, as these thoughts come up, the thrall overcomes me, and now I'm fighting to sit here and type at you about it and not dive back onto my bed to find out what happens next.

Why fight it?
I know exactly what you mean.. I think I spent most of my teenage years in the power of thousands of books.. part of the reason why I never did any homework, never cleaned my room.. I have a weak will;) I could never put them down and alwasy had another one ready to go when I finished the last. a vicious cycle.

Yeah, looking back I find it amusing that I would be yelled at in school for reading during class. Of course, if I was reading the textbook, maybe it would've been looked at better. ;)

I sooo know what you mean... and it's funny being a teacher. At times I'm telling kids to put books away but mostly I'm just thankful they're reading. I was the same in highschool, hiding a book under the desk. My mum used to do the same thing too.
