During my freshman and sophomore years of high school in Rocklin/Loomis, CA, I hung out with a specific group of guys pretty much exclusively. If I attempt to express to you just how important they were and still are to me, ten years later, I'll just end up ranting a lot and still not feeling like I get it across to you fully, so I won't. However, I will share something neat with you:
One of the guys was
guvnor, whose family has been in the process of building their own house for the past 28 years. The House (or The Big House) was the site of many hijinks and happenings and remains one of the major mental landmarks for me of my times there. guvnor has used his new digital camera to photo-document the house in a recent LJ post, and I wish to share this ... monument with you. It'll probably suck for dialup users, though.
"Now, I don't think my dad set out to create an impenetrable zombie-proof fortress, but that's certainly what we ended up with."
Heartstrings : tugged
