juldea: (by mercy)
Ann(e)

Pros:
  • It fits a lot of different periods and places. (According to the Academy of St. Gabriel, Anne is better for this than Ann.)
  • I can claim it to be a shortened form of another name, expanding the list to even MORE periods and places. (Ann is better for this than Anne.)
  • Buffy chose it. ^_^ (Anne, that is.)

    Cons:
  • Very similar to [livejournal.com profile] tpau's name.
  • Possibly a popular name? I haven't heard it a lot, though...

Haha... saw this on the [livejournal.com profile] knitting community.

Just got a call at work to go see a higher up. I don't know her well, and she doesn't supervise me, but I was as intimidated as I was perplexed.

I got to her office and she asked me to shut the door. As I turned to do so, I saw people on the hallway peeking around their doorways at me in shock and I could hear the whispers start. I swallowed hard as the door closed and I turned and sat.

She looked at me for a second, very seriously, and reached under her desk and pulled out a plastic bag. My mind raced. Had I left something embarrassing or incriminating somewhere for her to find? Would she blackmail me?

She pulled out pink, yellow, and blue fuzz.

    It was a scarf.

She heard I was a knitter. She hadn't knit in many years until this scarf. To her embarrassment, she had forgotten how to bind off.

    I showed her. We bonded.
We're going to meet weekly for lessons.
Can't wait to hear the rumors.
    *grin*
