Are You A Comfort Addict?

Do you find yourself unsatisfied, but unable to work out why?

Do you find yourself nodding during Fight Club when Tyler Durden tells his recruits that their struggle is a philosophical one... only to be dismayed with his idea of a solution?

Is everything okay, but nothing great?

You could well be a comfort addict. )

To those who don't read the cut: ME bellydancing on Saturday, January 15th!

So, my friends are greatly awesome. I say this mostly because on BOTH Saturday and Sunday this weekend, I was invited to gatherings wherein friends of mine decided to cook more food than most people could conceive of and invite me over to help eat it. THANK YOU SO MUCH, [livejournal.com profile] k1ttycat and [livejournal.com profile] kestrel404 and [livejournal.com profile] sandrylene!!! You are all awesome, and the food was tremendous.

I also attended a bellydancer "party" - more of an informal gathering for the express purpose of discussing costuming ideas. I brought a buttload of stuff and seemed to be the only one who actually had materials gathered for making costumes... I should get on that. Right now, however, I'm reworking some of the beading my original purple costume... which is almost looking like it will involve remaking the entire damned thing... heh. I started by removing some of the beads that were loose so that I could rethread them, and then some others came loose, and it has just snowballed. I really shouldn't redo the whole thing, though.

Oh yeah, that fed me too. Yummy yummy middle-eastern food. Hummus and tabouli and baba-ganouj, oh my!

Also, [livejournal.com profile] londo has been here since last Wednesday. He is leaving to go home today, but I will see him again on Wednesday night and through Thanksgiving, as I am accompanying him to his family's place in Providence! Yay. I like him. Spending time together is good.

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] ariose and [livejournal.com profile] rexdomine!

My journal is called Let's take off our shoes and bare our souls... because it's my favorite song lyric ever. It's from Moxy Früvous's "Fly".

My subtitle is (It's witty, see.) because it's possible someone doesn't get the awesomeness of the title.

My friends page is called cacophony because y'all make a lot of noise.

My username is [livejournal.com profile] juldea because my good old California friend Jason Graham coined me the name back in high school when I was taking beginning Latin. It is a mix of my name and the Latin word for goddess, "dea."

My default userpic is nothing because otherwise there's no way to have a blank userpic when I feel like not having one.

My LJ name is -=juldea=- because it's my username, a bit more fancied up.
