So Match.com has a new Physical Attraction test. Kinda neat. At least a good waste of 20 minutes. ;)

A few quotes from my result... )

So, yeah. Interesting and mostly accurate quiz. But, I should be in bed now. I have things to wake up for very early...

...so. Onto the reason why I now have some big thoughts and decisions to make.

I've been playing phone tag with the inflight recruitment folks at ACA for two days, and last night we finally reached each other. They told me the bad news: looks like Boston isn't going to need flight attendants, after all. I'm not fired and I'm not not hired - I'm free to continue on the path to being an FA with ACA.

If I move to DC or Cincinatti.

I can't yell at them. I was told this was a possibility. However, I didn't plan for it to happen.

So now, I must think and decide. I want this job. However - I also want [livejournal.com profile] londo, all my other Boston-area friends, all the Boston-area people I'm just starting to be friends with, the ease of not having to move again, the S*P gaming groups, other S*P-related stuff in the works, etc etc etc. I want the stuff I've started to build here.

Not that Cincinatti would be all that horrible. I'd be an hour or two away from two dear friends, the Cinci-Boston flight is only 2 hours long, everything would be cheaper, I'd be closer to Oklahoma and Michigan (family), and I'd be able to bid for reassignment after, erm, 9 months?

Points of difficulty:
  • I have stuff. Stuff that takes up a lot of space to move.

  • I have cats. I'd need a roommate who would take care of them while I was gone...

  • ...and I'd want to be gone a lot, theoretically.

  • So. Plenty to think about, and I still have more questions for ACA.

I think I'm being pretty mature about this. It only broke me up for about an hour last night, and then I settled down to weigh options. If only I could always be this cool.

It makes you blind, it does you in
It makes you think you're pretty tough
It makes you prone to crime and sin
It makes you say thing off the cuff

It's very small and made of glass
    and grossly over-advertised
It turns a genius into an ass
and makes a fool think he is wise

It could make you regret your birth
or turn cartwheels in your best suit
It costs a lot more than it's worth
and yet there is no substitute

They keep it on a higher shelf
the older and more pure it grows
It has no color in itself
but it can make you see rainbows

You can find it at the Bowery
or you can find it at Elaine's
It makes your words more flowery
It makes the sun shine, makes it rain

You just get what they put in
and they never put in enough
Love is like a bottle of gin
but a bottle of gin is not like love
