Boston Contemporaries called back. They're booked solid for interviews for the next two weeks, but this agent particularly called me because she had a cancellation on Monday and wanted to see me.

I kick so much ass.

So, Monday at 11. Better get my suit ready.

the weather is thwarting my plans

I planned on doing laundry today. I knew that I would have to load up a duffle bag, sling it across my shoulder, and ride my bike the mile to the laundromat, since Jim and his car are both in Pennsylvania.

I did not plan on snow. I'm no good at looking outside and estimating how much has fallen, but it's enough to make bike riding a stupid idea (sidewalks not clear; streets with only one lane each way clear, not enough room to ride safely with a load). I guess I'm walking, and damn that's a pain.

I just finished doing a load of handwashables in the bathtub. Pixel (one of the cats) was very interested in exploring what I was doing, but I held her away while I was working. When everything was finally hung up to drip dry, I turned to her and said, "You are free to move about the cabin."
