sleep button solution

This might be a really stupid thing to do, but I'm trying it...

The snooze button lies across the top of my alarmclock. About 3 inches long and one inch wide. I covered it with double-sided poster mounts and stuck thumbtacks all over it. Now I expect to wean myself off of the snooze button habit.

Like I said, perhaps this is a painfully stupid way to go about this (no doubt it will be painful at least once), but it sounded good at the time.

I'm hoping to get sleepy soon.

Well, my first day of snooze-button-torture has worked perfectly. I didn't even hit the button; my fogged-up brain remembered what awaited me and I just let the alarm play until I was awake. (That was over an hour ago - I've completed my daily LJ/blogs/flame board/webcomics/3k run since then)

Now I'm "up" but I'm not quite "at 'em". And I'm cold and want to get back under the warm blankets of bed. BAH.

The worst thing about that song is knowing I -am- the type of girl to tell a guy that he needs to "tell me about it", and still not being told. :P

Damn Jim and his Billy Joel obsession. ;) I have a 5-cd changer up on the entertainment system, and he puts 5 Billy Joel cds in there on shuffle. Heh. I don't complain, the music's good, but I have emotional connections with a lot of the songs.

Well I've been GETTING THINGS DONE while listening (woo), so back to it.

Even scarier: calling my family later today. Including grandparents. Let's hope I can keep the discussions on sports and my life (not much to talk about there), and not politics. I tend to radicially disagree with my family these days.
