I'm part Irish

I'm doing my part and have green hair today.

I'm helping out a friend in my mid-east culture class this week by feeding and taking care of his cat while he is gone; I just went over to the apartment to meet the cat and find out where things are. Very pretty orange tabby, just a bit larger than Pixel and Matrix. Too bad I didn't pick up the cat's name :P

I plan on harnessing the forces within me and focusing them towards housecleaning and homework today. I don't have to show up at Papa John's until 10, and even then I might not be called in because pizza delivery during spring break is SO SLOW! So that gives me 7 hours to work with, and no car to take me away somewhere else. Let's get this done. *rolls up sleeves*

Company would be appreciated, however. Sometimes living alone is, well, lonely.

The kitchen, dining area, cat closet, and living room are all clean. Swept, vacuumed, everything. And only the tiniest bit of the cleaning was "relocate this to the bedroom"! Go me.

I'm standing on the balcony in a t-shirt and khakis, feeling just slightly cold but not so much that I shiver or anything, and yet I'm watching jawbreaker-sized hail ping off of the screen of my balcony and land on the ground below (I'm on the second floor). Doesn't hail mean cold?

Hehe. The cats want nothing to do with the outside world at the moment. ;)

I just came across my recent birthday card from my father, and thought to share it with you, because I thought it was pretty awesome:

Wish the perfect birthday could be arranged for you...
there'd be surprise parties all over the world,
and you'd just hop on a jet and fly from one to another
and eat cake in the clouds. And then when it got dark,
the stars would form a big heart with your name in it
to remind you how much you're loved.

Now, I don't know how long my dad spent picking that card out, but I think it was great coincidence if it was just the first one he saw. What with the parties all over the world, hopping on the jet, the stars... It's just me all over. Woo.

I have thai food coming. There is a dent in the mess in my bedroom, and some hand-wash is done. After dinner I think I will turn my attention to homework.

While eating, watched the video of the 1997 Red River All-Star Marching Band (the Red River divides the states of Texas and Oklahoma, and therefore it was a bi-state marching band, for those who care but don't know...). Good times. I am in the video about 10 times :) I miss that phase of my life sometimes...

I wonder what Amanda Suenram is up to these days. She was on the roll for my history of English class this semester, but never showed up. I wonder if she dropped out finally...
