I guess the perfect specimin of a good friend is someone whose livejournal you can post dumb shit to while you're drunk off your ass and they don't think you're a complete nad total idiot.

I got through that with only one typo, I must be sobering up.

This was a reply to Amanda's comment to my post last night, and I felt like I expressed something I want more people to read (justified myself?) and therefore I will copy it and paste it here:

Hehe, yes, I knew you would understand and that is part of why I posted it :) I know I'm not as "smart" when I'm drunk, not in command of all of my faculties I guess... but unless I go past a certain point I still have control over all my inhibitions except for what I say, it seems :) Well, and I'm more touchy-feely, but just in a huggy/kiss-on-the-cheek type way. Anyway, yeah, I had a really good time last night, and everything I said in that post still applies while sober (and with only a very very small hangover! woohoo!)

So yeah, after 6 days of the scale saying ONLY 145.0 in the morning, while I exercised daily and didn't eat snacks and such, I go to a party, drink a few beers and alcoholic drinks (caloriescaloriescalories) and snack on party food, and wake up this morning having lost 2.5 pounds. Wtf? I guess that's just how my body works... heh.

Well, I guess that's all I do in my ballet class (inside family joke... none of you will get it... but I'll say it anyway.)

Today my nose seems to be practicing for the 4-minute mile.

I realized that while I had explained this to Jason on his visit, I never fully have proven how well-suited I am for celcius instead of fahrenheit...

In C, there are major categories, by 10s, and they each have appropriate clothing to go along with them. This is semi-variable, of course, but usually dressing for the category will get me by fine.

40+ go naked, it's farking hot
30-40 shorts, tank top, t-shirt
20-30 jeans or light pants, t-shirt, light long-sleeved shirt
10-20 jeans, sweatshirts, light sweaters, long-sleeved shirts
0-10 heavy jeans, warm sweaters, layers
-0 bundle the fark up. parka, gloves, the works.

So every morning, I check the AccuWeather Hourly Forecasts for the day (or at least the next 8 hours) and dress accordingly.

Now, I know you can say "well there's no difference in saying 10-20C and 50-68F," but really, which is easier to remember?

So that's why my travel clock and car display are set to show temp in celcius. I've gotten quite proficient at it, woo!

Today I met (well, not for the first time, but for the first time I will remember heh) Jeni. Aka [livejournal.com profile] lamnia. We were in the same aerobics class, which I assumed would happen sometime since she posted to my livejournal some about it, but since I didn't know what she looked like (unless she were in dim light holding her cat - her LJ photo) I couldn't look for her. She recognized me, though, and came up to me after class. :) I am glad to know a new person.

I will now sleep, and hopefully I will not have farked up my sleep schedule and will be able to wake up bright and early in the morning to shower before work.
