If you're not familiar with the IMDb, you should be. Look at all the fun facts I can find!
Rupert Grint, who played Ron in HP, will be in another movie next year called Thunderpants
Robbie Coltrane (Hagrid) has been in TWO James Bond movies, AND Krull! (talk about dirty fantasy...)
Warwick Davis was Professor Flitwick, and not anyone else
Richard Harris (Dumbledore) also played Marcus Aurelius in Gladiator
John Hurt (Ollivander) has been in so much amazing stuff that I don't know if I should list it all here. A lot of it is voice work... Caligula in I, Claudius; Hazel's voice in Watership Down; Aragorn's voice in Lord of the Rings (1978); Raskolnikov in a TV Crime and Punishment; Jesus in History of the World: Part I; Winston Smith in 1984; the voice of the Horned King in The Black Cauldron; Spaceballs; Jim Henson stuff; Hadden (the rich technology guy) in Contact; the narrator for the Tigger Movie; a movie called "Two Nudes Bathing"... and so much more. But those I thought were the interesting ones.
You know Maggie Smith (Prof. McGonagall) from Clash of the Titans or Sister Act.
Bonnie Wright, who showed up briefly as Ginny Weasley, isn't listed as coming back for movie #2... hmm.
So, that's the interesting HP stuff I've found. Now, onto Dune. ;)
Francesca Annis (Lady Jessica) was also in Krull. Hmmm....
Brad Dourif, aka Piter DeVries, is Grima Wormtongue in the LotR movies. He also provided the voice of Chucky in the Child's Play movies.
Jose Ferrer, the Emperor, is George Clooney's uncle. He's been the voice of Badger in the Wind in the Willows, and... A Midsummer Night's Sex Comedy??? Scary.
Linda Hunt, the Shadout Mapes, was in Kindergarten Cop and did the voice of the grandmother willow in Pocahontas.
Thufir, Freddie Jones, was in the Neverending Story III, was the voice of Dallben in the Black Cauldron, acted in Firestarter and yes, KRULL. I smell a conspiracy.

Kyle MacLachlan did a lot of Twin Peaks stuff, and currently stars in Sex and the City. Bah.
Stilgar (Everett McGill) is indeed Big Ed.
Sian Phillips, the big bad Reverend Mother Mohiam, was in The Battle for Endor! Laf.
Dean Stockwell (Yueh) was in Quantum Leap, too.
Liet-Kynes, Max von Sydow, was in Conan the Barbarian... close enough to Krull. ;) Also the Exorcist, Never Say Never Again (a James Bond movie), and countless movies in many different languages.

Okay, I think that's it. Wasn't that fun? I'm sure impressed. This whole "James Bond" and "bad 70s fantasy" conspiracy has me thinking.
