What better way to waste the last 15 minutes before leaving to prep for the TMBG show than updating my journal? I feel, as Chase felt, that it has been forever since I have written here, when in reality it has been a whole day and a half (I don't count yesterday's short post as a REAL post). I'm just a LJ junkie!

Well, I got a new computer at work. It's a whopping 233mhz - and since Brendan and I acquired a new 200mhz for the server yesterday for $40, it makes me realize how wimpy this machine is. However, it's much better than the Mac. Gotta put it all in perspective. I have real icq now, where I can see away messages and such... and mud!

Last night's dance class was interesting. We're doing our brand new speed-learned dance this weekend at the performance in Arkansas, and apparently I'm the only one that realized this meant I should know the dance by now. Soraya took me aside at the end of the practice and told me that the others were going to depend on watching me the whole time. Oh, to clarify for those who know the troupe - the people who will be there dancing are not members of the advanced class, they are all intermediates. So that explains it some, but you'd think they would have practiced before now. We leave tomorrow afternoon; there's not much time left.

After dance I went to Deanna and Blake's apartment for Blake's little birthday party (just them, myself, and Travis and Emily (brother and sis-in-law). The more time I spend around Blake, the more I like him and approve of him sometime marrying my sister. He comes off as aloof but when he loosens up around you he's a really great guy. And he treats my sister wonderfully - he's very affectionate and cuddly towards her. I am happy for them :)

It makes me sad, though, that I so often hang out with my brother and his wife and my sister and her fiancee and Jason is so far away. My family likes him a lot; I wish he could do things with us more. I'm often a 5th wheel.

Does ANYONE have a taped version of the pilot episode of Enterprise? I couldn't hunt down anyone that would tape it for me yesterday, and I spent almost an hour on the phone. I am very sad about missing it but I was running late getting out of Saxon and couldn't stop by my house to set the VCR. *grumble*

Well it's about that time... Gonna go get Brendan and Chris, get gas, and head down to Dallas. See everyone late tonight :)
