What a completely bad start to the day. I swear I woke up around 7:30, but I don't know what I did that kept me from the shower until 8. I was ready to leave for class by 8:40, easy, but it turns out that it took 20 minutes to get my (&*#@ing broken bike rack off of the back of my bike, due to threaded screws and rusted nuts and such. Rusted Nuts sounds like a good band name. By the time I was done, I was pretty damn late for class, and in no mood to go. So I'm here. I got one good thing done, in that I just took a jaunt to the optometrist and finally ordered my new contacts. I'll have to go a few days with glasses anyway.

I'm hungry, I didn't get to exercise, I'm tired, I'm grumpy because I didn't make class... I need hugs.

I would really like to describe this feeling to you, but I'm not sure what words to use to do so. I will explain the situation instead. I've been working on my E&M homework for the past hour and a half - and all on just one problem of proofs that Karen and I didn't do on Saturday. Well, I had this big long page of vector calculus written out (del X (A X B) for those who care).. and realized I was doing the wrong problem.

If you don't understand the pain of component forms of vector calculus, you wouldn't understand that feeling, but... ouch. ;)

Let's see, other news. There is - blessed be - a thai food restaurant opening on Jenkins/Lindsey, between the Medicine Hall and the Superette. It's called Pad Thai. I hope hopehope it'll be good food and cheap. *cross fingers*. I can walk there anyway (or stop by on the way to work!)

I noodled around on the piano a bit this morning while I wasn't in class (sigh) and actually got some simple little 2-measure bit of music composed. I feel like Luke Skywalker with the blast shield down. :)

Today in German class, before class had actually started, one of the men in the class (he's a history professor somewhere who is trying to learn German) came to me and said I have "very admirable knowledge of the German language". I think that means that when the prof asks a question, I attempt to answer it. Today I managed to say "Last weekend I moved my piano from my Grandparents' house in Bartlesville to Norman." I had to ask how to say "move" in reference to furniture, and at first I got the word for "to" wrong (3 different words for different circumstances) but I got it! Woo!

Well, more homework... and then band practice. :)

Oh, and if you can load it up, check out this link. I want one!!!!
