Well, today has been a pretty all right day. I slept in until about 11, got online and talked to Goldbug for a while, then exercised... And while I was doing crunches on the floor wearing nothing but a sports bra, there's a knock on the door. =P I threw on a bathrobe, and it was the maillady with my Rent CDs!! Hooray! I listened to Rent all day as I ran errands in my car and did laundry... I put my CD walkman in the pocket of my shorts and sang/danced around the laundromat when I was alone... There were a few times when I turned around and there were other people in the laundromat staring at me, but I just smiled at them and continued dancing (I stopped the singing for them, though, that's probably bothersome). I came home, mudded for a while, made a huge pot of potato soup, called Jason... It's been a good day. Jason says he's going to have plane tickets after tomorrow, so... *cross fingers*

I'm going to call the scholars office at OU on Monday and find out if I lose my scholarship if I take a semester off. I think that's what I want to do... Finish this fall and then take off next spring and go to Boston. Not cut everything off completely... just put it on hold for a while. I bet the Bostonian mudders I know can get me a job...

I hope Amanda is reading this, since I gave her the URL today! :)

Well I'm going to go now and read myself to sleep... G'nite all :)

Well Karen's scholarship obligations and mine say the same thing, "A [insert scholarship name here] Scholar must maintain full-time student status which is 12 credit hours per semester," and Karen took a semester off without problems, so I'm feeling pretty good about my chances there...

I feel bad about taking the spring off when Goldbug is coming back, but it's really the only reasonable time... I don't have the money available to take off this fall (and there are a few school things I don't want to miss), and next summer I'm going to be going to places like Japan... This coming spring is really the best time.

Maybe I should discuss this with Jason. Heehee. I know he's planning on doing his co-op next spring, so he'll probably still be in the city, working... yay :)

So, in the spirit of these decisions, I'll give everyone a snip of Rent lyrics:

There is no future - there is no past - I live this moment as my last
There's only us - there's only this - forget regret, or life is yours to miss
No other road - no other way - no day but today...

Someone tell me the flaws in this, please, because it's just TOO perfect:

Goldbug is returning to Norman in December, right? But she does not yet have a place to live. I am interested in taking the next semester off, starting in January, yet I don't want to move out of my apartment because I want to return to it after that.

See it yet?

Goldbug can move in with me for a couple of weeks while I'm still here, and then fully take the apartment while I'm gone in the spring... And then when summer rolls around we can figure out what to do ;) Burn that bridge when we come to it, so to speak.

Only problem I can think of is the apartment people saying "she's not enrolled, let's kick her out," yet they didn't do so with Ty... It seems like it takes them a while to realize someone isn't a student anymore, heh. Maybe I should ask big Karen if I take a semester off to work but plan on coming back after that, if I would have to move out? I wouldn't tell her anything about leaving the city or anything, just not enrolling that semester.... *ponder* Or maybe if I do a correspondence course during that time...?

Other than that, it sounds like a great plan! Oh I am getting so happy about this!
