The air conditioning on the western (my) half of the Saxon building is broken today. There are huge fans out in the hallways, but due to the talking-on-the-phone nature of this position, I stay in an office with the door closed. The temperature meter in here says that it's currently 84º. I'm covered with a thin layer of sweat all over. My hair is stuck to my face in places. My pants are sticking to my legs and feel damp. I take the time every now and then to splash myself with water.

And I think it's immensely, wonderfully better than it being 74º in here and me wrapping the flannel blanket around myself.

Adriana called me last night while I was working at Papa John's, and I called her back this afternoon. The specifics are this: I need to go visit her Wednesday afternoon to learn from her friend/aide what to do, and then until June I only have to be around at her work on Mondays and Thursdays from 10-2. Any other time I can do whatever the hell I want, so I think we all know who will occupy most of my time. :) Now all that will need to be figured out is if Jason's parents really don't mind me hanging around most of the time for two whole weeks. I'll offer housekeeping/monetary compensation I suppose. Then, in June, I move in with Adriana. Whee! Jason and I might be sick of each other then. ;)

Grin, I used to run an overhead crane in our old warehouse, in the summer the meter said it would get up to 104-108 in there, and I couldn't get down until lunch or end of the day so I just had a rope with a basket so they could keep sending me water & ice up. THOSE were fun days.
