So, I've now used Zipcar for the first time.
It was a pretty good experience. It was a last-minute thing, so I had to get a car that was fairly far from me (they get booked up FAST on weekends!), but it was directly on the bus route near my house. It was a PRIUS! I am so in love with the Prius now!! The layout of the dashboard, the handling, everything... it was a gorgeous car.
Anyway, I used it to drop of
londo at Arisia meetings and go on a huge grocery shopping trip. It was good to me. Sadly I had to call in and extend my reservation for 30 minutes extra because of traffic and stuff. However, that extra 30 minutes (at $4.25) is a much better deal than the $25 late fee.
When I got back to the parking spot, there was an unauthorized car (i.e. not a Zipcar) parked in it. Just so people know, there are big signs that say, "TOW ZONE - ZIPCAR ONLY" on those spots. Therefore I called the Zipcar people and reported this person and parked in the spot next to it on their instruction. Hint to all of you: don't park in Zipcar spots. (I was doubly confused because it was a big parking garage and there were open spots all over the place.)
I plan on spending the next couple of hours eating, knitting, and watching Meet the Feebles. Fear for my soul.
