Well Randen mentioned it a few minutes ago in an ICQ conversation, and I agree - from the last two livejournal posts here, you can tell that I've been feeling the need to bust out of my rut for a few days here. I think I successfully managed that :)

I worked until close last night, which was 3:30am to the time sheet but 2:30am to the clock (woo time change), at which point I went to the party at Janke's (quite late, of course). There were still some people up and partying, and some people down and partying (goldbug was falling asleep while sitting up on the hardwood floor, balancing on nothing but her own body). I had agreed to drive some people home, so after those who could drive got rides home, I took Karen home. Although I took her to my house, and I also took some leftover liquor from the party. And we stopped at Walmart for allergy medicine so that the cats wouldn't bother her.

Karen and I sat in my living room and watched the hentai I brought back from California while I attempted to get liquored up on 1) royal dew (crown royal and mountain dew) and 2) an interesting mixture of gin, tonic, and cranberry juice. Oh, and when that wasn't working fast enough, shots of malibu rum followed by a chaser of the cran-gin-n-tonic mix. THAT worked.

Then we watched The New Adventures of Pippi Longstocking, with running commentary from Karen about how it was all about underage sex.

Much drunken festivities occurred. Eventually goldbug woke up and we kept her from bed and included her in the fun.

I had a good time. :) Let's try it again sometime!

I got too drunk the other day. I've decided that I much prefer a good solid beer buzz to the sickening drunk that comes from ~7 shots of jim beam in a few minutes.

but I still prefer tequila. it seems to be more of a fun drink. but maybe that's just because I like it more, so I have more fun drinking it. *shrug* I could make a list of liquors in order of preference, but that seems kinda silly.

I've been thinking about having a party lately. I don't know how big a party I would want to have, but I think that I'll throw a party sometime after school gets out. maybe even around my birthday. how crazy would that be, huh?

note that I really like turning a simple reply into what should probably be a post of its own. it's kind of a snobbish thing to do, but it's also fun and sneaky. because only the people who read julia's replies will get to read it. :o)

while I'm at it, Sinus was good today. we've stumbled upon sort of a leviathan, really, but I'll probably keep it on the d/l until things progress and grow.

julia makes me smile. I'm glad she's my friend. I'll miss her when she goes to boston, but be extremely happy for her as well. yay for love.

my toilet has been running for about 15 minutes now. I should probably go and make it stop. *grin*

yay!!! I love you, Chris. You're a wonderful friend and you make me smile, too. We should hang out more, especially next fall when I will be missing Jason.

Next Saturday I have to work at Papa John's from 5pm to close - 3:30am. Eek! I was thinking that it'd be great to have a party when I get home, or have a party already started but have people NOT wanting to sleep at that time. I will want love and backrubs and head scratches and such. And company. I miss out on good parties because of work. :(

ooh... interesting proposition, but I don't know that I would be able to stay up that late and still be able to make it to sinus iridum on sunday. really, my ability to stay up late depends heavily upon the energy level of those around me.

Gah. I was soooo sick last night and tossed enough cookies to lose 5lbs. And it wasn't for any reason I can determine. You must have given me your pre-hangover hang over! Grr. Anyway, you want something good, cherry vodka and pretty much any flavor crystal light or the red colored cool aids (fruit punch and/or cherry come to mind).

So are you the one who took my mountain dew away?

Heh, you saw me do it and even mentioned it at the time. Karen and I took the Mt. Dew. You didn't put up that much of a fight, and it's a $1 bottle, so we just went with it.

yeah, i don't think i really noticed, until later, around 5 or 6, when i was really getting tired, and i went looking for my mountain dew stash. sure, a $1 bottle, but the only one there was. i'd kept my eye out earlier and i knew there should have been some left over, as not many had been drinking from it.

and the principle of the Diminishing Marginal Rate of Substitution tells us that the last one somehow is worth more than one among many.
