juldea: (sleepy)
[personal profile] juldea
When Jason and I first met, he was a senior in high school and I was recovering from my car accident my first freshman semester, fall '98. I was on a sleeping from 6am-6pm sleep schedule, and he was the type who went to bed at 8 or 9 woke up at 4-5 in the morning to do his homework before school or play video games. I still don't understand that, but it meant that we talked in the wee hours of the morning when he had just awakened and I was ready for bed.

The past couple of weeks, Jason has been staying up until daylight (sometimes as late as 10am) and I've been sleeping from midnight to 8. It's very weird for our sleep schedules to have completely swapped like that!

I want to bring something up here, but I don't want to sound bitchy or whiny about it. So feel free to tell me to shove it if you think I'm just being dumb.

It feels like I am very often overlooked by people when they are looking for a friend to do things with. Silly small things, like go to walmart, or go grocery shopping, or play video games, or just in general hang out. Every few days I hear about how these two people or those three went out for lunch or are hanging out together, and I don't feel invited.

I know that I'm a very busy person. 3 jobs and band, and other stuff I like to do in my spare time... but I hope that hasn't made people automatically assume I'm not free. I would like to be called and asked what my schedule is like, just because I might actually be free and no one knows! Or I mean, I can post every morning what my schedule for that day is. =P

It just seems like a lot of my time is spent staring at the computer while other people are out having fun. And sometimes, I'll prefer to stare at the computer, if Jason is on and being talkative. But he's not always talkative, and he's not always there.

And, maybe, it's partially my own fault too. I don't invite people over hardly ever, and I don't do many errands. However, when I do, I am pretty sure I almost always invite someone along. I know several times I have invited people to go with me to pick up my laptop from the shop, or go to the neato fabric store that is near there... And I haven't made a walmart run in quite a while, but usually I announce it... And I'm always wanting shopping-friendly girls to go to the mall with.

Also, it seems like whenever I randomly just go to someone's house (mainly Karen's in this example), no one is home. But everytime I find out there's a big gathering there and I kind of poke around as to why no one called me, all the answers are, "Well, it's not like we all planned a big grouping, people just came over." *sigh*

I like you guys. And sometimes I get lonely in this house with just two cats for fleshy company. What do you suggest?
