juldeaI just learned something new about friends groups.
From the LJ FAQ: If you delete a friends group, any entries made to that group will still have the security set to "custom," but not to any particular group. The effect of this is that no one but you will be able to view these entries; even though they will not be marked private, they will effectively be private. Additionally, if you recreate the group with the same name, the entries will not automatically be set to that group again. If you would like to change the security level of the entry or set it to a new custom group, you'll have to go back and edit the entry.
Damn. That means some things I've written in the past are no longer available to people. I can't imagine going through 1,646 entries to check to see which are posted to groups that no longer exist. Argh. Although, yes, I'd only have to go through those entries which are restricted, but that's still a whole lot.
