juldeaTonight was several degrees below freezing: around 10ºF and -5ºC. I worked almost the exact same number of hours as Tuesday night and last night, and made $10 LESS overall. I got stiffed multiple times, and was told to keep the change (wow, thanks, a whole 21 cents!) many other times. I can count the number of over-1-dollar tips on one hand. What made my luck be so bad? I mean, jesus, if it's freezing-ass cold outside and you order pizza, give a little love to the delivery driver!
There was also this one weird experience at Kraettli (an apartment complex run by the university, for those outside of the loop). I went to this guy's apartment, he let me come and stand inside the doorway while he got his money together. There was some other guy on the couch not paying attention. Guy #1 gave me a dollar tip, said thanks, good night, etc. I left, and right after the door closed, I hear, "[undecipherable] FUCKING PIZZA LADY!" through the door. Now since that first word was unclear, I don't know if he was yelling at me or yelling at the guy on the couch (not that I have any clue what he'd be saying to the guy at the couch). Either way, I left. Strange.
In other news, I got paid by OU today. First time in a month or so. It's nice. :)
