one more...
12 March 2002 14:04This is for actual current events, not the history of the past 4 days. :)
Thanks to my dumb Papa John’s boss last night (he made me stay past midnight even though I’m supposed to leave at midnight and my availability says not past midnight) and yummy nauseating side effects of penicillin, I called in to Saxon today and said I wasn’t coming in. I slept until 11 instead, which I needed. Now I’m up, and I’m using goldbug’s computer for this. I hope she doesn’t mind… she has told me that I can use her computer, but I don’t know if that means “you can turn it on while I’m not home”. And I hope she doesn’t mind that I added my ICQ number and logged it on, and installed AIM so I can talk to Jason. All these things are reversible, though, so if she does mind, we’ll uninstall.
First off, check this out. US Airways and Space Adventures have started a deal where you can use frequent flyer miles for space travel. Now I don’t know about anyone else, but I’m gonna look into the frequent flyer plan for US Airways now. I know they don’t fly out of OKC, Dallas is the closest, but I’ve flown from Dallas before for cost reasons. Plus, they stop in Boston, and that’s where I’ll be all next summer… Hmmm…. I guess I’d better figure out how much miles they require for this kind of thing. After all, it’s $98,000 per person for the suborbital flights… So if you have to have that many frequent flyer miles, damn. No use in me trying. ;)
I guess it’s time now to take a shower and head to pad thai… See everyone later!
