I'll tell the interesting non-dork stuff before I get to the dork stuff.
Today I blew a fuse in my house. I tried to plug my vacuum into a power strip that had many other things on it, although none of them were actually on, so I thought it was safe. There was a spark and a pop and another weird noise from elsewhere in the house, and now half of my apartment is dark-party worthy. Well, none of the lights work, and neither does the socket that strip was plugged into. The socket in my bedroom works (for my alarm clock) and the sockets over on this side of the apartment work (luckily for my continued computer existance). I have lamps plugged into them and that is my only source of light.
Idea - take lamps into bedroom and bathroom for light. Wow, I'm fast.
I also rolled up the rug on my living room floor so I could skate around on my sneakers. The cats didn't enjoy this.
I made green curry tonight to use up the rest of my chicken. The problem is, I didn't make it with rice (was too lazy, grin), so I have all this leftover green curry sauce that didn't make it all over chicken or veggies and into my mouth. It's in a tupperware container in the fridge. I figure I might make rice some day and then put the curry sauce on it and eat that. It's making me feel hungry, so it must be a good idea...
Oh! I ran across this while opening my nutrition textbook today... "In a person severely deficient in iron, weakness is common and temperature control may be altered, causing the person to feel cold." ... the weird part is, I think I eat more meat and irony-things than many other people I know. And I think the plasma place checks my iron levels? But it's interesting nontheless. Maybe my body needs more iron than normal people.
Okay, so, dorkiness. I finally got to the lab to play DAOC. Whee!! It's fun. I'm just a newbie right now... an newbie Saracen rogue. I'm going to be a minstrel when I reach level 5! The good thing about being a newbie is that deaths don't count. They do nothing except make you start over at the place where you are bound. It's an annoyance, but not horrible. I made it to level 3 tonight. I'm a good kid; when it reached midnight, I came home. I think I'm going to be pretty good about regulating myself. Unless the game gets terribly more interesting at level 5. ;)
Well, I think that's about it. The cats are very upset that their rug is all rolled up. Oh, well. I am going to go sleep and make it to class in the morning!
