Eeeggghhhhh. I'm so beat. And I have many hours to go before I sleep...
Yesterday after work I went home, and got a call from Rachel's sister Anna. Rachel's family is in town because her other sister is going to OU this semester. They took me to Aunt Donna's house and we ate beef burgundy and garlic bread and cherry cobbler stuff and watched part of Mulan. They have a very precious kitten named Playful. Then I was taken home. I went to the bank and got lots of one-dollar bills for change for the garage sale, then went over to the Hotel. I gave Brendan his early early birthday present (scratch the Latin-English dictionary off the wish list!) and then kind of attempted to snooze on the couch until something productive happened. Therogy practice kind of interrupted the snoozing ;) Then Karen arrived! We hugged and played DDR a lot. Then there was an organization meeting for the yard sale. THEN... productivity.
Jon and Brooke and I went to Walmart to get posterboard and sodas, and then to the storage place a few times. I made six big wonderful signs! I stayed up until 2am doing things.
And I woke up at 5 to start the yard sale. ;) I moved all my boxes to my car and drove off... stopped in the middle of the road with my hazard lights on to put the posters on street corners, and then arrived at the Hotel to set up. I was there from about 7 to 10:30, and by the time I was gone there had been some pretty busy times and we had made a lot of money. However, I noticed when I left that two of my posters had been taken down during the day. I wonder if they are irretrievable :( We really need the posters because we didn't get any advertising (which I still think was a dumb dumb idea, and I offered to do it if no one else did, but John assured me he was going to take care of it) and I really want a lot of people to come buy things from us. Of course.
Then I came to Saxon, took a few calls, and Rachel's family called from Thai Kum Koon and invited me to lunch! So I went and had a free buffet. They are very great people. I even got hugs from both her mom and dad! I think they miss Rachel and use me instead. ;)
So now I'm back. I'm not very rested, but I'm very full of thai food. The phone isn't ringing much. I think that at 5 I will leave, go home and take a shower, and head back to the Hotel for a long night of yard sale-ing. I hope I sell more stuff!
