World Peace!
19 July 2001 12:24Lately I really have the desire to write some indepth essays on topics that mean much to me. The two that have been forming in my head lately have been "why I mud" and "what sex means to me". The second topic was forced into focus because I have read in several places lately the phrase "I like [or respect] you too much to have sex with you," which to me is only a valid phrase if your premises (definition of respect and/or sex) are false. Anyway, once I make the chance to sit down and write those, I will link them here.
Last night, upon recommendations from Randen and Jason, I watched Miss Congeniality. It's a comedy starring Sandra Bullock (for those of you who know and care about names) about a "tomboy" intellectual FBI agent who has to pose as Miss New Jersey when the Miss United States pageant is targetted for a terrorist attack. I really, really loved the movie, and will buy it when I find the chance. I think I sympathize a lot with the main character, who doesn't give a damn about makeup or wearing dresses and is thrust into this world of beauty and big hair and bikinis - not that it's happened to me, just that I think I would act like she does. ;) The movie is done very well and doesn't take itself too seriously. The only times I weren't smiling happily at it were when I was laughing. So go rent it. :)
On another note, waking up is getting to be an impossible task in the mornings. Bleh.
