I woke up this morning (late) and got in the shower. When I stepped under the water, I thought, "Huh... water pressure is a little less than normal... wonder what's up." I fiddled with the shower head for a bit, then since it wasn't a huge change, continued to shower. I'm glad I wash my hair first. The water pressure steadily decreased... by the time I was washing my face, I had to turn the shower head up so that the water would arc out and not just drop down. From there it just got worse... I started hearing a weird noise, too, a whoomp-whoomp. I was about to call goldbug into the bathroom and show her what was going on when she came in and asked me if I had enough hot water. I told her about the water pressure being HORRIBLE, but that the water was still hot at least. She said that she had turned on the kitchen sink and only a trickle of water came out, and that the water heater was making a very weird noise (the whoomp I had been hearing). I hurredly washed the rest of the parts-that-are-important-to-get-clean, and as I was rinsing my washcloth off in the small trickle that was still remaining, the last of the water thinned out until the shower head turned itself off and the water came out of the tub faucet.

A little while later, as I was about to leave for work, goldbug mentioned from the kitchen that we no longer have water.

Whee?

Guess we get to call the physical plant again today...

luckily i showered early this morning when things were fine. when i came back later for lunch and stuff, i had the same problems you did. i wonder if it had anything to do with them sucking water up from under the street at lindsey and jenkins. at least things seem to be better now.
