Okay! This Zoloft thing might be figured out, now.

My insurance company's prescription plan has a $250 deductible. I have to spend $250 of my own money on medicine before they start to cover it.

After that $250 deductible, if I buy my medicine in a special PCS store (who knows what that stands for, but all the major stores are on it), they cover 75% of the cost.

If I order my medicine from the insurance company itself in 3-month supplies, I only pay a copay of $30 for the whole 3 months (woo!).

So here's what I've gotta do. Get my prescription back from Walmart, and get $250ish. Call the insurance company's mail-order pharmacy, and figure out how much to pay for a 3-month's supply, minus the $250 - where does the $30 copay come in that? Say 3 months of Zoloft costs $700, do I pay the $250 deductible and then $30 for the 3 months? Or is it $20, because the $250 deductible took care of the first months' supply? I guess I will find out. I would call right now to find out, only Caleb is in here, and I think I would have to tell them what medicine I'm on... I will wait until I get home.

Another good thing I've found in all of this is that my insurance will cover Depo! And at this point, I don't think I need to hide that from my dad anymore. So when I go in for shots, I only pay the office visit copay ($15) and 25% of the shot ($12.50). $22.50 is a lot nicer than $65...

So later today I'm going to Walmart, to pick up my prescription (the paper) that I left there last night, and to see if my application has been processed yet.

This makes me feel better. $250 + $10/mo is a lot better than $200/mo.
