on 7 Feb 2009 03:37 (UTC)What we've got at the moment is a digital piano, touch-sensitive, top-of-the-line model about fifteen years ago. Therefore not so top-of-the-line now. It isn't my favorite piano in the world. But it's a lot better than nothing, and two guys can carry it. I remember the process of trying to move my childhood piano -- an actual, non-digital piano, and an antique too, made out of mahogany and with real ivory keys -- and there were like eight guys trying to haul it up that flight of steps. They dropped it once and it smashed the stone stairs and became the reason that my parents dropped a couple thou remodeling the steps that year.
None of that represents a very interesting story, I'm afraid. I'm sorry.
One thing I'm not clear on -- did you have the piano moved *into* your new apartment, or just *out of* the old one?
