Looks like I am looking to move into a new apartment February 1. This is a call to arms! Anyone with connections in the Camberville area, please help. I am already trawling Craigslist and have made a list of rental agencies to contact tomorrow, but there's always something that could be missed.

Move-in date of Feb 1.
Studio or cheapo 1-bedroom.
Under $1000/mo (under $850 if no utilities included).
Walking distance to the Red Line, Kendall outward.
Cats allowed.
Parking not necessary.
Ideally first floor.
No first/last/security/fee shit. Two of those, maybe three, but not all four.

I'm also more open to the idea of roommates now, so if anyone has ideas there... My thoughts are: I'm a geek who spends a lot of time out of the house, so I want a house that is comfortable and safe to me when I use it. Not a constant party house. Smokers outdoors, controlled drinking acceptable, other substances okay as long as they don't rule your life and I have plausible deniability. PLEASE be someone willing to do some goddamn chores around the house. Any gender acceptable; alternative lifestyles acceptable; religious/dietary restrictions (keeping Kosher, vegetarian, vegan, etc.) acceptable.

Let's see, what else. Busiest times of the year coming up. Two weeks 'til Christmas (oh, and I am going to Texas, it turns out), then New Years (I'll be at [livejournal.com profile] shogunhb and [livejournal.com profile] shadowravyn's), then RAtC, then my office is moving locations, then Arisia, then I'm going out of town, then I come home and move. Guh. Happy to be in a good headspace right now. Hope it keeps.

Bah. It looks like our current tenant is moving out June 1st. :(

It would've been really amusing, though, wouldn't it have? You could marvel at all the improvements we've done since the last time you lived here! We've insulated the walls! And changed out the glass doors for solid ones! And and and! :P

Would your house have been able to hold the extra cats?

I will keep you in mind once I have any idea what my life will look like around then.

Well, not our side of the house, but nobody's moving out of this side (that I know of).

52A could hold you and your cats, but it's a bit beyond your budget now, aside from not being available until June. :(

Yeah... Not an extra couple hundred I can rustle up. I'm gonna have to look further from the T than your amazingly-located place!
