juldeaI am very, very glad I went to the Lord of the Rings movie marathon at the Brattle. All three movies, extended editions of the first two (They didn't manage to get the extended edition of RotK. We're promised free tickets if they ever get a reel of it.) Yeah, my butt hurt at the end of it, but the movies sunk in an appropriate amount given the big screen, theater, and other theatergoers. Basically, who from the Cambridge area would go to see the LotR marathon? People I probably like, indeed.
I made the best witty comment ever, too. At the very end, when Sam is marrying Rosie, I shouted, "Dwarves aren't the only ones who get beards!" There was a few seconds of silence in the crowd and then some people just cracked. I had someone thank me after the show for that comment. I win the internet today!
