Samuel Barber's Adagio for Strings.
Arranged for string orchestra from his string quartet
at the request of Arturo Toscanini who then did the
premier of the string orchestra version with the NBC
symphony.
So there we have it. What great things this whole internet thing can accomplish!
Speaking of accomplish - today I got Karen's present and she got me mine (I think the story is pretty funny), I got two new headbands (one is christmasy and wonderful), I ate thai food, watched the first two volumes of I, Claudius, and my hair turned brown. Mostly.
And Brendan is going to make me a cloak! I am very excited about it. Once I actually get all the fabric to him I am going to have to work hard to not bug him all the time about how it's going. ;)
Now it's time to love the cats and fall asleep.
