Well, StupidBitchBoss is making me feel guilty about being sick, so I'm still here and doing work. But if it hits four times of being sick, I swear I'll be heading home. And then I'll need you to let me in :)

I only have the cell phone, so any pointer you have for a home phone should be deleted. But yes, call me if/when you need me.

And seriously, StupidBitchBosses can kiss my ass when it comes to being sick and staying home. Far better to stay home and segregate illness, rather than run the risk of it being infectious. I hope you don't throw up again, but if you do, try to do it on her desk! That'll teach her. ;)

It's just her way of communicating. She pretty much stared at her computer while I talked to her (and that involved actually moving around in her chair to do so, since she started off facing the door/me/the other employee who was in the office who had, in fact, been in the bathroom next to mine and asked me how I was doing) and then said, "Well, if you think you need to go home..." with (to me) and unspoken, "...I'll think you're a lazy employee but there won't be anything I can really do about it right now."

Bleh.

Oh, while we're on the topic of, uh, you being at home? If I don't end up heading home early today, and if you randomly happen to be outside, can you keep an eye out for packages possibly left on our doorstep? I'm expecting a new monitor and while I hope that whatever shipping company brings it would leave one of those notes on the door, I have found packages between the two front doors before. And well, a monitor is a fairly expensive thing to trust to that...

I was just going to write that UPS left you a big box! They actually rang our doorbell by mistake, but I told them that we could accept packages for you. Hope that's okay.

At any rate, when you do get home today, there will be a big box waiting for you, and I'll make you some tummy-settling tea if you want. Oh, also, if you want a trigger point helpful in NOT hurling again today, try pressing the webbing between your thumb and pointer finger between your other hand's thumb and pointer finger. Get the muscle inside the webbing, not just the skin. This is supposed to be helpful for nausea, headaches, and cramps in women. :)

(If you stay for the full work day, I do have a client or two this evening, but I can leave a message with Steve to let you in and give you your package, too.)

Well, do you think you need to come home? That's a crappy way for your boss to handle you while you're feeling crappy, but if you think you can't handle work, even if you don't think you're going to throw up again, you have every right to come home. Seriously.

Hey, neat. And yes, you can definitely accept packages for me. In fact, there might be another coming at some point, but I have no clue what shape or size it is, only that it says Conor's name and that I shouldn't look at the return address. (Backstory - he's apparently got a surprise for me that he tried to put together there in AZ. Part of it involves ordering some item to be shipped, which he did last week, but he tracked it yesterday and it still hadn't left the distributer. So he went ahead and changed the address to home so that it won't accidentally arrive in AZ after he leaves. I'm somehow supposed to get this package and not look at the return label. Argh!)

I am still feeling unsettled, but not actually having to leave the desk yet. Here's hoping.

As to the keys... sigh. I had left them in the inside of the front door yesterday, and this morning I failed to check my coat pockets until AFTER I left via the kitchen door, which I do every morning, locking it behind me...

Huh. Well, I'll keep an eye out for packages and such. And the keys aren't a problem, just to reassure you. I just wanted to let you know if you come home in the evening and I don't answer the door or phone, it's because I'm with a client. But I think Steve will be able to help you, if that happens.

Oh, I recently acquired Polish Wedding (with Claire Danes) and all of My So-Called Life (also with Claire Danes), plus The Boy Who Could Fly, The Broken Hearts Club (with Dean Cain, pictured in my icon), Gone With the Wind, a couple of Dr. Who movies ... plus there are a number of DVDs on our shelves that I could stand to watch again. :)

Huh, the only thing I've seen out of that group is Gone With the Wind, and the Dr. Who TV-movie that came out about 5 years back. I have to admit, though, a certain fascination with watching My So-Called Life ;)

I really don't feel justified doing so if I am feeling well enough to work, though.

I do have many icons! Apparently, I'm allowed to have 100. I would ask how anyone needs that kind of iconage, but I have a friend or two who fill the space quite nicely.
