I'm currently eating a peanut butter and pickle sandwich.

Yum.

Man, I loved peanut-butter-and-pickle when I was a kid. So good, and all my friends were so grossed out. Especially when I started coming up with mutations of the concept, like grilled-cheese-peanut-butter-and-pickle-with-mustard.

I had a cousin that liked peanut butter and pastrami sandwiches.
I'm a bit of a PB purist. The only other thing should go with
PB is Fluff IMHO or better yet at PBF&J. Peanut butter Fluff and Jelly.
Yum.

yes!

Peanut butter and Fritos, is the only way to go! Either that, or pb and marshmallow creme, or pb & honey. I wonder what pb & molasses is like?

I would like to state that you and everyone who offered other PB sandwich suggestions are NUTS.

It can be plain, or with jelly, or bananas. That's IT.

As someone who has, in the past, eaten cheesecake with soy saucve, i can't really comment here.

I have to agree. Actually honey and brown sugar are pretty good, too. But I don't think that's too weird.

That's gross, but not as gross as my friend Clay eating Oreos wrapped in processed cheese or my friend Josh eating Oreos dipped in tomato sauce.

I don't like honey. But I do think those are both within normal limits for PB sandwiches -- they're sweet, like jelly.

Actually, I think if I liked pickles, it wouldn't be so bad. Nice mix of textures. Not as weird as green jello with black olives.

That sounds good, I should try it. Actually, almost all the other comments here look at least worth experimenting with (those that I haven't already done, that is). Oddly, the one I never really liked that much was PB&J. Edible, but too much the nuts+berries flavor weirdness.

Honey rocks--especially so if the bread of the sammich is toasted...

Fresh popcorn, buttered and salted.
Vanilla ice cream.
Smoosh together thorougly.

It's hot and cold; it's salty and sweet; it's smooth and crunchy -- a festival for the tongue! But it's enough work to make that I don't actually do it cery often...

...wow.

I've always been a fan of mustard on grilled cheese and, separately, peanut butter and pickle, but I never considered combining them. I'm going to have to try this. Can you tell me how to prepare (do the pb and pickle go on with the cheese, pre-grilling)?

I've never had a PB&F, but I'm interested in trying. I just can't justify buying a jar of Fluff, however.

They're not something I have often because, for some reason, I always forget to buy pickles... but I like them yes! :)

Never tried Fritos... Honey is awesome, and what [livejournal.com profile] londo was having while I had my pickles. Molasses sounds worth trying, and yummygooey.

Considering this is a sandwich I first ate before puberty, I don't think it indicates pregnancy in relation to me. ;)

Usually, yeah, but you have to be careful, because heating up the peanut butter makes it liquid.
