juldea: (roar!!!)
I was a ball of worrying this morning because I had never called the temp agency that runs the payroll for my current Harvard temp job and confirmed with them that they had received my time sheet last week. If they never did, well, I get no pay, and of course that's no fun.

So I show up there after leaving work today, give my name to the woman up front, and she furrows her brow. She doesn't recognize my last name. "Oh, shit," I think to myself. She then grabs another worker there and asks HER, who gets a glimmer of recognition on her face! Yay! "Yeah, we couldn't process that one because we didn't have a pay rate for it," she says. ...no yay. :(

Apparently my name wasn't on the list that the department sent over of new hire temps, and phone calls to my supervisor had gone unanswered, so they didn't know how much money to pay me. And, for some reason, calling ME never occurred to them - I would've gotten them a phone call back for damned sure. Argh. I stood there while they called the supervisor again, got ahold of her, made a record of my pay rate, and filed both last week's and this week's timesheets for payment next week. Sigh.

♥ to londo for fronting me the money until then so that I can get some bills paid.
