[livejournal.com profile] tank182">1: Grab the book nearest to you, turn to page 18, find line 4. Write down what it says:
"...to Hollywood, had been changed to Hejab, the name for modest Islamic..." (textbook from Modern Middle East Culture class last year)

2: Stretch your left arm out as far as you can. What do you touch first?:
nothing but air.

3: WITHOUT LOOKING, guess what the time is:
2:08am

4: Now look at the clock, what is the actual time?:
2:02am

5: With the exception of the computer, what can you hear?:
Nothing, actually. Just quiet.

6: When did you last step outside? what were you doing?:
I stepped out of the Subway in Acton, MA. I had just bought dinner for [livejournal.com profile] londo and myself and was returning to the campground to deliver/eat it.

7: Before you came to this website, what did you look at?:
The message boards for the Crossroads LARP and my friends' page.

8: what are you wearing?:
Fuzzy bathrobe :)

9: Did you dream last night?:
NO. My head hit the pillow, I snuggled with Londo for a bit, and then I was OUT until he woke me up in the morning asking me if I was hungry. That time didn't exist at all for me.

10: George Bush: is he a power-crazy nut case or...
He is a power-crazy nut case AND several other things.

11: Imagine your first/next child is a girl, what do you call her?
An accident.

12: Imagine your first/next child is a boy, what do you call him?:
See above.

13: Would you ever consider living abroad?:
I live the life of a broad every day.
But seriously, yes! Absolutely. America is getting kinda scary, too.

3rd = Crossroads
4th = Crossroads
8th = Doctor's appointment
9th = day off of work
10th = go to Providence in afternoon
11th = return from Providence in afternoon/evening(?)
13th = Jim leaves town
14th = 7am MIT physics breakfast with [livejournal.com profile] udalrich
15h = taxes due!
17th = Simmons in-garb picnic
18th = Masked Ball at Fenmere
19th = I think another day off of work (if I'm still at this place)

The inclusion of something on this list does not guarantee my presence at it. It just guarantees that I know about it at this moment.

Any additions?

Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] siderea:

[Boston Globe anti-gay marriage] readers have a chronic complaint: The number of pro-gay marriage letters routinely outnumbers anti-gay marriage letters.

"Your editorial page is printing letters in a ratio of seven-to-one in favor of gay marriage according to my sampling," complained a local college professor. "Surely this is not a fair reflection of your readers' letters?"

Actually, the ratio of incoming letters is even more lopsided -- more like 40 to 1 in favor of gay marriage -- according to the two editors, Glenda Buell and Peter Accardi, who compile the daily letters for publication.

Friday: Hung out with [livejournal.com profile] learnedax in the morning. Then work, then hung out with [livejournal.com profile] laura47. She is awesome and fed me and let me do laundry at her house. And I had a lot to do. It was a fun night and I met a bunch of new people and talked to Peter more than I ever had before. I like lots of [livejournal.com profile] laura47's friends. Yay!

Saturday: Went a-LARP-ing with [livejournal.com profile] londo, [livejournal.com profile] etherial, and a bunch of others that might have LJs but I don't know it. Game happened out in the woods at the Camp Acton conservation land in Acton, MA. We're talking squatting-behind-a-tree out in the woods. I'm glad I thought to bring a roll of toilet paper with me. Anyway. The weather was very cold, even with a fire burning.

If you at all have interest in the game you should mention so in a comment, because I won't go into all of that unless people actually care (besides the two who already know most anything I'd say!)

Sunday: More LARPing. I originally intended to only go on Saturday, but what can I say, this game is addictive. I went even though it was rainy as well as cold. I apparently impressed the GMs, yay! One of them told me so on IM today. In fact, I was called a "good roleplayer." Woo!

After the game, I went to Adriana's house to hang out with her, watch tv, and make a few bucks.

Monday: Had interview with PSG this morning. They think I'm awesome on a stick, possibly because I managed to whip out 106 wpm on their typing test. Apparently I kicked butt on their MS Word and Excel tests, too. They invited me to join their Guaranteed Work Program, supposedly guaranteeing me at least 35 hours a week at $9/hr. I didn't check what type of guarantee that was, however. If it's legal, I'm all for that. It's a lower rate than I'm making now, but more hours, so it works out better overall. They want a bit more information about how much notice Contemporaries will need for me to quit my current job, however, so I am going to make more phone calls in the morning.

[livejournal.com profile] laura47, I wrote your name on my application, so after I work (I think) 40 hours for them, you get $100! Woo! Would that erase my $11 debt to you? ;)

I had a discussion with Jim about financial stuff for the next few months. He's leaving town to go to Europe on the 13th and will be back no earlier than May 17th. And could be gone as long as July. He's going to continue to pay rent during that time since his stuff is using up half the apartment, but I'll cover bills. Also, if I want to take over the lease when he leaves at the end of the summer, he will need $1625. This will pay him for what he has deposited into the security of the apartment, etc. so far. I decided I'm glad I asked about this so early in advance, because I bet I will have to ask my father to borrow that money. I won't be footing it all myself, because at least one other person will move in with me, but it's still a significant chunk.

But, anyway: I'll have my own apartment for at least a month! Whee! Who wants a party?
