tape-delayed
9 June 2002 21:15This was what I was going to post earlier today. Read it as a basis for this post.
I drove Adriana and Berenice (another aide) to New Hampshire today to pick up our new TV! Adriana payed for the gas. It was only an hour and a half drive.
We made it back in time for me to go to the gym, but only for about 20 minutes. I worked on my upper body with the weight machines.
I went by one of the thai restaurants next to the gym, Brown Sugar Cafe, but they were quite expensive. So I hopped on the T towards home and stopped instead at Bamboo, which is just a few stops from me. I took a glance at the menu outside and was ecstatic at the prices, but upon entering and looking at a menu I guess I was looking at lunch prices. ;) I had "drunken noodles", which is basically spicy basil noodles, and it kicked Pad Thai's ass all up and down Commonwealth Ave. The flat noodles were literally an inch thick, and they piled all sorts of delicious vegetables in there. Green cabbage, red cabbage, onion, carrot, green pepper, broccoli, cauliflower, zucchini... I think it might be the best thai noodle dish I've ever had. :D
And so after eating the whole thing and coming home stuffed, Adriana and Berenice want me to try some of what they cooked up while I was gone, hehehe. I guess I can fit a bit in. :)
