I had a wonderful conversation over ICQ with the amazingly great Jed Yates from California today. He popped up - I haven't seen him on ICQ in ages! We talked about me coming to visit. Here is an excerpt from the conversation:
Jed: so you'll be driving to California alone?
Julia: seems so, so far. maybe someone will want to join me... *shrug*.
Jed: do you have cell phone at least?
Julia: at the moment, I have two ;) I just got a new one on a nation-wide plan that I can use from anywhere and not pay out the ass. So I'll be good for the drive - I can call you guys and my mom and anyone else who is worrying and let you know where I am.
Jed: <\worry mode> [with the right slash, but if I put it here with the right slash, you don't get to see it!]
He's so wonderful. :)
I can't wait to go.
But before that is the trip to Elk City to see Harry Potter, which starts in... 5 minutes! I should go. Bye, folks!
