No one was home except cats when I made my triumphant return home from my first night of delivering pizzas. I was disappointed - goldbug should've been here to ooh and aah over my smashing new threads and tips. Maybe she will come home before I go to bed...

I went in at 4. Jeremy, my manager, was supposed to have a shirt and hat for me, but the girl who was supposed to bring them wasn't coming in until 5. So for that hour, I just rode around with another driver and saw how it worked - not complicated at all, as I'm sure you can guess. Then, from 5-8, I delivered!

I went home with $22! I like that number a lot. Since I made that as well as $5.40/hr for actually 4.28 hours (I get a little hour printout when I leave, which is nice). So tonight, for 4 hours of work, I made $45.36 pre-taxes. Nice, over $10.50 an hour! Woohoo!

And it didn't suck. The time passed rather quickly, actually. And I like reading maps. ;)

The people seem to be all okay, too. No one scared me yet.

So, yay! New job that doesn't suck.

Now I'm going to go to bed, because Saxon will have me for 14 hours tomorrow. yuck!

scary people are everywhere. there was an especially creepy janitor at the OU physical plant a couple of years ago, so why wouldn't there be scary people at a pizza place?

Scary people also order pizza, and there is the possibility (no matter how remote it might be) that she might have to deliver it to them!

Actually it's been my experience that scary people order pizza for delivery a lot more then normal people do.

Which is also true. And I'm not allowed to bring any sort of weapon in the car with me, even mace. Um, I doubt I'd be checked though. ;)

Oh, um, I called the lab during then. Since I was in a big meeting, I didn't get this. Technically I shouldn't even be here at home, but I decided to stop by on my way elsewhere.
