Arisia braid is a win

Since I had made such a post and fuss about getting my hair braided by blk at Arisia this year, I figured I'd follow up to show off what she was able to do. Yay!

The style I decided to go with was a braided headband - the photo to base it off of was this. blk had no problem with this - you can see her results here, here, and here, as well as in my new usericon!

I also want to point out another braid she did just for its pure awesome, a hair-into-beard braid for a young gentleman. I found it cool, don't you?

blk says that my hair is totally long and thick enough that next year, we can do a spiral. Yay!

I bet your hair is also long and thick enough for a spiral. I could try it, but I won't guarantee results! Also it would require me being able to stand up and move around you easily, which I can't at the moment. Also for you to sit still for a while. ;)

I learned the mechanics of 4+ strand braids at http://www.dreamweaverbraiding.com/Braiding_Tips.htm and it is probably the kind of thing you're looking for. And if you want to practice on my hair, I'd love it!

Still don't know. Orthopedist's appointment on Tuesday morning; hopefully will know more then.
