debt reduction plan

I have a plan. I have GnuCash. I have a nice online debt reduction planner. I have payments on my cards scheduled out until December, 2009, in amounts that I can afford if I keep my income at least at what it is now and not be stupid with money. Dec. 2009 gives me three months' wiggle room, because -

I will be out of debt by 30. We will have a party and watch Logan's Run and some movie about being free from financial obligations, and one segment of life stress will be vanquished! Hooray.

Thank you, whomever, for the vgift. Virtual milk and cookies do help.

...it sounds upbeat...
Yeah, working with numbers was a really good way to clear my mental state last night. :)

Yay debt-free! Yay for having a plan!

[livejournal.com profile] nightskyre and I are buckling down and trying to get all the student loans, etc. paid off ASAP. We'll probably put 30% of our gross pay towards debt in 2008. But by the end of the year, we should have two less student loans, and the remaining loan balances should be significantly smaller.

All that to say - it's hard, I know how it feels, and keep up the good work!

Then it's time to buy a house? *runs off and hides*

Quite possibly. :) But that's at least debt towards an investment, not debt that's just... debt.
