I saw The Chronicles of Narnia: The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe and thought it fucking rocked. I definitely want to see it again. I thought they did wonderful justice to the fantasy world of my childhood. The effects were great - Aslan's FACE actually engaged me more emotionally than his voice did, I found myself lost in his expressions - the story was completely intact, and there were cute guys (Tumnus and the Centaur general, who I still swear was Viggo Mortensen in an un-announced role.) I think the thing that blows me away the most about the movie, though, is that at different points I saw familial similarities between all of the different pairs of children. At one point I said, "Hey, the actor for Edmund and the actor for Peter look kind of alike in this manner," and at another point it was Peter and Susan, and then Susan and Lucy, etc. This might have been all in my head, but it still elevates the movie's realism to me.

I had to take a training session at work with a woman who got angry because she couldn't close the chart I had showing on my desktop --- this chart being my desktop background. Need I tell you how that session went? I think I'm going to go kill some people now.

Otherwise, work is alright. Quite busy though.

I leave for Oklahoma this Saturday. Eek! I need to clean house and do laundry before I go.

I know there was something else I wanted to share, but I can't remember it. Oh well.

Where the wind comes sleeping down the plain.

Did I ever tell you I played Ado Annie once?

You have not.

...not that I know who that is, although I suspect it's a character from Oklahoma.

She's one of the leads (the sluttier one). I played her in the Senior Spoof.

Ah. Probably similar to the Cougar Cuties pageant.

Saw the movie this weekend also. I felt it definately did justice to the books. Unfortunately, I was in the corner with a lady and a small child behind me. Aslan speaking quietly, I'm doing my best to listen and actually attempt to hear him, cue child talking in normal voice about whatever. Since the kid did this thru the entire movie, it completely destroyed my experience. Dunno if I want to spend the money to go watch it again or spend the money on something else that might be coming out.

Spend your money on coming up to Boston and going to see it again with me! ^_^

Honey, I have no Money! And giving the amount I'm currently sinking into classes, won't for over a year. *Grumble*

Sad. Money is such a hindrance to seeing friends, sometimes! :P

Money is a hindrance, period.

This is me going on an entirely different subject...

Don't know that I'd agree with that. How else should people be compensated for their work?
