Haven't tried ICQ gateway on this thing and don't know if that person has secured themselves, but if you want to give me the # I can try to check for you.
I can reach the site and open the program just fine, but the connection times out when trying to log in. I don't know what they did here at work, but it certainly keeps me off the chat programs...
You're not behind. I don't watch the morning news and get spotty radio reception inside, so I found out what happened when I sat down at the computer this morning and opened my NPR Top Stories live bookmark to read the headlines while my mail was downloading. I flipped over to my Friends view and over half the posts (including syndicated accounts) were talking about it, accounting for people, etc..
We'll deal with it as she sees/hears about what's happened. So far, she's only heard a little bit on the radio and I've read Talking With Kids About War and Violence at PBS Parents.
It really hits close to home for me, since one of the bombs went off in the neighborhood where I lived for 2 months in 2002. I'm glad I don't know anyone who lives in London (anymore).

Everybody seems to be OK, though, unless I've missed someone who's in London. (fret, fret.)

If you can reach ICQ's site at all, you could try their java gateway thing. It's at http://www.icq.com/icq2go/
