bored

Well I got to work and needed something to do, so I've been looking at ebay all night. The bellydance selection is quite sparse when it comes to full costumes - lots of hip scarves though. And lots of videos. Then I decided to be brave and look at bras. Found a possible Victoria's Secret bra for $2.50 after shipping. I'm watching it... there are still 6 days left. ;)

I want to leave and go to band practice.

Have you ever thought about using the proxy bidding service on EBay?

Well I can't find the description on EBay but it makes bids for you. You tell it how much to bid and how high you're willing to go and then it automatically bids over someone when they bid.

I.E. You make a bid for $5.00 for Item. You enter a proxy and tell it to keep bidding $.50 higher then whoever enters but not to go higher then $10. Someone comes along and bids $5.60 for Item. Your proxy will automatically bid it up to $6.10. If they had bid $9.75 though your proxy won't bid again because it's over $10. It's quite effective.

Ahh, but see, that doesn't work with the method I've seen to best win things on ebay, which is... wait until the very last second, 1 minute before the auction closes, and then bid on it. If there are no other bids you're almost guaranteed of getting it, and if there are other bids, chances are they won't have time to overbid you.

This method has worked for Karen and Brendan.
